Supporting California Friends Affected by Devastating Wildfires

I took this photo on a hike in California June 2024. Most of this flora was planted by Amir Dialameh - who carried these trees and plants up the hill after a devastating fire in 1971. The same hillside suffered more damage with a fire in 2004 and volunteers, once again, came to the rescue to restore the garden and trails.

The 2025 wildfires in California wiped out whole communities and is something we've almost become used to seeing to the point of apathy. While I donated to several different causes in support of the victims of these wildfires, it wasn't until I read a social media post about how sad it is that film fans aren't posting about the wildfires that I decided to write an entry on Digging Star Wars.

Don't worry. I'll be brief. I donated to the following charities and thought I'd post links here in case other film fans wanted to contribute to the cause.

There are probably many more charity links out there to support these people who lost their homes and businesses. However, this post is a little one-stop shop if you don't know where to begin. Please consider donating any amount. And check to see if your place of employment does matching donations.
